Terms of Use
Effective October 23, 2026
These terms apply to the NoScams iPhone app and the noscams.app website, operated by PolicyPage LLC ("we", "us"). By using NoScams you agree to these terms and to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which also governs the app.
What NoScams does
NoScams helps identify likely scam messages. Its verdicts are advice, not a guarantee. No tool can catch every scam, and NoScams may occasionally miss a scam or flag a real message. You remain responsible for deciding whether to open links, reply, pay, or share information. Before acting on a message about an account, contact the company using a phone number or app you already trust.
Free and paid features
- Checking messages you share or paste into the app is free.
- Automatic filtering requires a paid plan: a monthly subscription, an annual subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase.
- The annual subscription may include a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it converts to a paid annual subscription.
Billing and cancellation
All purchases are made through Apple and charged to your Apple Account. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before renewal. You can manage or cancel in your iPhone's Settings under your name, then Subscriptions. The lifetime purchase is a one-time payment and does not renew. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. Paid plans can be shared with up to five other people through Apple Family Sharing.
Acceptable use
Don't use NoScams to break the law, to interfere with our service, or to submit reports you know are false. Don't copy, resell, or reverse engineer the app or its scam pattern data.
Content you report
When you report a message, you allow us to use the anonymized content to improve detection and to publish the wording of confirmed scams, with personal details removed, to warn others.
Disclaimers
NoScams is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We don't promise that the app will catch every scam, never flag a legitimate message, or be available without interruption.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of money, data, or messages, arising from your use of NoScams or from any scam it does or doesn't catch. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for NoScams in the 12 months before the claim.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll note it in the app or on this page before it takes effect. Continuing to use NoScams after that means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the District of Columbia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the law where you live requires otherwise.
